Sports Premium

Sports Premium is an allocation of funding from the government. It is used in order to increase the level of physical education, activity and sport across the school through enhancing the quality of teaching and participation.

The five key aims of the PE and sport premium are to:

1) Increase staff confidence, knowledge, and skills in teaching
PE and sport.

2) Increase engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity.

3) Raise the profile of PE and sport across the school

4) Offer a broader and more equal experience of a range of
sports and physical activities to all pupils

5) Increase participation in competitive sport.

At St Urban's we have created, over the last few years, a great reputation for sport and physical activity in both curricular and extra-curricular activities and are proud of our achievements so far. We welcome the funding as we strive to always improve the experiences and opportunities of all our children through sport.
